Our team was able to work with Sarah’s grandparents. They were so nice and very cooperative with us working amateurly. We had a set questions we prepared for them that included introducing themselves, their missionary work, and questions based on our theme of peace.

We all pitched in helping setting up the cameras, chairs, and the voice recorder. Personally, I thought it was cool to get to work with the really advanced tripods. I have used tripods before for cameras in highschool but nothing this sophisticated. I got to figure out how parts of it works and when I ran into problems with the stand rods themselves, I could fix it. We all got to explore how the DSLR cameras worked with all their features. Finally, sitting down with the interviewees to do the interview.

Me and Sarah went around with the cameras inside and outside to capture some handheld shots for B-roll. We had to figure out to lock our arms out and be the tripod to keep the cameras setting when shooting. We caught several great B-roll shots that way and hopefully a lot of them will make it into the final edit.
