Inspiration in the Atrium

This project was focused on creating a typographic piece that would culturally affect how people interact with the space. The piece must change how the environment feels, looks, and how both students and outside people will see the space.

I decided to redesign the atrium. The atrium is in one of the classroom buildings that is generally used as a study space or for staff banquets. The space feels very empty even though there are banners on the sides of the walls. I thought the space could be redesigned with a 3D sculpture that includes color and two words of encouragement for students to strive for. The words are a bit cliche but for a basic school environment I thought it was appropriate.
