FELINE ISSUE 1B

My friend, Anna, has a cat named Tiger. He is featured on the cover of FELINE Magazine for February. She happily gave me a photo of Tiger to edit for the cover of FELINE. Accompanied by some fun quotes and a title for an advertisement, he looks very professional on the cover. Anna gave him the title of "The Beast" as his name is Tiger. I think this cover looks absolutely stunning.

I used font pairing to match the attitude of words as well as how they looked together. For Tiger's name I used a drop shadow to bring out the bright white from the light wood in the picture. I balanced the words out a bit to make the cover look cohesive. I used the masking tool around the ears to let part of FELINE to hide behind the ears as VOGUE covers would do. Overall this covers looks cohesive in it's technical points.

I have absolutely fell in love with the FELINE series I have created based off of VOGUE magazines. I have taken inspiration from many different designs and layouts of VOGUE magazines and used them creatively in my own designs. I like working with Photoshop in magazine and graphic design like work such as this. Especially just finishing the Bulletin project with font pairing, this helps me try and experiment with different types of font and which ones look best next to another. I hope to do more of this series in my blog assignments as well as some other things. I would love these to be in my portfolio.
